Leticia Monelli is a Bay Area native whose athletic drive was sparked at an early age. Participating in high school and college sports, determined to find a career in health and fitness, Leticia discovered CrossFit. Since 2008, she has been drawn to the community and lifestyle CrossFit promotes. She has overcome many challenges in getting her personal fitness to a level she now feels is greater than ever before.

Leticia is eager to share her experiences with others and especially enjoys coaching athletes rehabbing from an injury and also beginner athletes. Her passion is inspiring athletes with limited range of motion and newcomers to CrossFit, helping them accomplish their goals – this is HER inspiration.

Q&A:

Why do you CrossFit?

I do CrossFit for the daily benefits I get from it. Health and fitness makes me a happier person. I like setting fitness goals for myself and trying to achieve those goals to become a better athlete. I enjoy using my body and also how I feel both physically and mentally after a workout. CrossFit changes my day and makes me a better coach and person.

What’s your favorite WOD?

Anything with body weight movements. 🙂

If you could be immediately transported anywhere in the world to perform a WOD, where would it be?

How do you eat? 

I eat paleo about 90% of the time. When I eat paleo I enjoy my work week, my work outs, and have more energy to coach. But I still love my treats! For me, it’s about feeling balanced. Sometimes that means going off the diet and eating non-paleo for the evening or having a couple glasses of wine with friends. Other times that means being a little more dialed in and strict. It’s whatever makes me feel balanced and that balance is different for me at different points in my life/the year.

 Interests & Hobbies?

I like being outdoors and expressing my fitness in ways outside of the gym, such as trail running or playing team sports. I also like to travel, read, and spend time with family and friends.
