WHAT IS CROSSFIT?

CrossFit is a strength and conditioning program designed to help people gain a broad and general fitness. CrossFit programming concentrates on constantly varied functional movements performed at high intensity to achieve overall physical fitness, preparing people for any physical challenge they might encounter, ranging from grocery shopping to climbing mountains.

There are more than 10+ CrossFit affiliates in San Francisco alone, all with unique cultures. We recommend trying them out to see what fits you best. While the training should be accessible to nearly anyone, we do not subscribe to the theory that “CrossFit is for everyone” – it is not. A GREAT way to find out if CrossFit is right for you is to attend a Free Intro class at an affiliate. Most affiliates will provide this introduction to help explain CrossFit programming so that you can determine if it is right for you.

Experiences between CrossFit affiliates can vary drastically. Try more than one affiliate if you can.

You can find out more About Us, but in general, CrossFit Potrero Hill is known in the local CrossFit community as a welcoming and fun environment with high quality standards for our coaching staff and an exceptional On-Ramping program for new athletes. In addition, CrossFit Potrero Hill is home to multiple top 200 CrossFit Open NorCal athletes…they won’t brag about it, but we do it for them!
